Medical Students, Residents, Fellows - IR Training Program Information
Interventional radiologists work in a dynamic and rapidly changing field of medicine. As the inventors of angioplasty and the catheter-delivered stent, which were first used in the legs to treat peripheral arterial disease, interventional radiologists pioneered minimally invasive modern medicine. Interventional radiologists offer the most in-depth knowledge of the least invasive treatments available coupled with diagnostic and clinical experience across all specialties. Applications on the horizon include nanotechnology, stem cells and gene therapy.

Clinical Observerships and Procedural Visiting Fellowships in Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology is a dynamic and ever-changing field. While this constant growth makes for an exciting specialty, it also creates a challenge: how do you stay current with day-to-day operations?
With that in mind, many training sites around the country have Clinical Observerships and Procedural Visiting Fellowships in Interventional Radiology that cater to IRs who have already completed their formal training.
