Deadline for ICD-10 Allows Health Care Industry Ample Time to Prepare for Change
Deadline set for October 1, 2015 On July 31, HHS issued a rule finalizing October 1, 2015 as the new compliance date for health care providers, health plans, and health care clearinghouses to transition to ICD-10. This deadline allows providers, insurance companies, and others in the health care industry time to ramp up their operations to ensure their systems and business processes are ready to go on October 1, 2015. PQRS Interim Feedback Dashboard
Individual eligible professionals who have reported at least one PQRS quality measure this year via claims-based reporting can now view first quarter data regarding submissions, using the 2014 PQRS Interim Feedback Dashboard. You can access this dashboard through the Physician and Other Health Care Professionals Quality Reporting Portal
CMS Announces Important PQRS Selection Window
Notify your administrators: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Physician Value-PQRS (PV-PQRS) Registration System The Physician Value-Physician Quality Reporting System (PV-PQRS) Registration System will allow authorized representatives of a group practice to perform the following tasks on behalf of the group practice from April 1, 2014 to September 30, 2014. The PV-PQRS Registration System is a new application to serve the Physician Value Modifier and PQRS programs that will allow:
- Physician group practices to select their CY 2013 PQRS Group Reporting Mechanism and, if the group has 100 or more eligible professionals, elect quality tiering to calculate their CY 2015 Value-based Payment Modifier
- Individual eligible professionals to select the CMS-calculated Administrative Claims reporting mechanism for CY 2013 in order to avoid the PQRS negative payment adjustment in CY 2015
